Baroque Legacy by Elim van Delft
To celebrate Amsterdam's 750th anniversary, this special concert presents a powerful musical reflection on heritage, voice, and the flow of time - told through the music of Henry Purcell and Antonio Vivaldi, two composers who profoundly shaped the Baroque period.

In two atmospheric parts, this performance takes the audience on an emotional and historical journey - from the personal story of Mary II Stuart to the rise of the Netherlands as a global power in art and culture. Featuring original Dutch voiceover narration in the voice of Her Majesty (voiced by Karin Bloemen), authentic Baroque instruments, and an impressively colorful vocal performance by Elim van Delft, accompanied by the Belgian ensemble La Chapelle Sauvage, conducted by Karel De Wilde, the past comes breathtakingly to life.
